2017 Club Trials

Wallsend Football Club will be holding trials and welcomes both new and existing players to trial for our U15’s, U17’s, U19’s, U23’s and 1st Grade teams for the 2017 season.

Wallsend Football Club is pleased to announce it has secured the services of Chris Gallagher as the head coach for the 2017 Northern League One season, assisted by Justin Woweries.

With the 2017 season being Wallsend FC’S 130th anniversary the club is looking to build on its consecutive Grand Final wins in Newcastle’s second division.

All trials will be held at Federal Park (off Boscawen Street), Wallsend

Wednesday, 19.10.2016 (sessions start 6pm sharp – 7:30pm)

Northern NSW Football NPL and NewFM Announcement

Wallsend FC would like to announce that we will remain in the Northern League One (formally NewFM) competition from 2017 onwards.

The statement released today from Northern NSW Football has confirmed that from the many NPL applicants Lake Macquarie City FC has been promoted into the NPL competition making it an 11 team competition.

The statement also announces that New Lambton FC have been successful in joining the Northern League One competition, meaning the competition will stay as an 11 team competition.

Northern League One will comprise of First Grade, 23’s, 19’s, 17’s and 15’s.

The new format will be in place for the next 3 years when Northern NSW Football are committed to having 2 divisions of the NPL which will be subject to promotion and relegation from 2020.

Wallsend FC will be announcing trial dates in the near future.

Wallsend FC WPL Girls Development Academy

Wallsend FC WPL is excited to announce the 1st Girls Development Academy program to commence in October 2016. Offering all interested girl players aged between 10 and 16 the opportunity to develop and improve their game for the 2017 season.
